Dr. Christopher Patitsas MD completed his residency in Ophthalmolgy in 1990 at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Since 1992, he has been Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he has published papers in "The American Journal of Ophthalmology". As an Associate Clinical Professor with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Patitsas instructs medical students at J.C. Blair Hospital. Dr. Patitsas lectures on a wide variety of topics surrounding medicine. In 2008, he was recognized as a Trebectome Trainer by the Neomedix Corporation.










Dr. Patitsas began his private practice at J.C. Blair Memorial Hosptial in 1990. Initially, he shared an office with Dr. Agnes Bunyor MD. When she retired in 1992, Dr. Patitsas continued a solo practice here at the J.C. Blair campus in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

  • He has enjoyed the opportunity to lecture at many events at Juniata College.
  • He also enjoyed being an assistant physician at Bearcat Football games with Dr. Dick Buza and the late Dr. David Miller.
  • He is also a big supporter of a number of Christian Missionary organiazations such as SPFL.



Dr. Christopher Patitsas served as President of the Hutningdon County Medical Society from 1993 to 1999. In the year 2000, he began a three year term as Cheif of Surgery at J.C. Blair. During that time, he is proud to have initiated the first "sign your site" policy which requires every surgeon to personally identify each patient by name band and to mark the surgical site in indelible ink prior to the operation.
